Hi All!
Would love to hear surfing, SUP and/or general travel suggestions from anyone who's been to this region. I'll be flying into Cartagena mid August and plan on making my way up the coast to Punta Gallinas. The tentative plan is Cartagena, Barranquilla, Santa Marta/Tayrona (Looks like there are surf camps there abouts), Sierra Nevada, Riohacha and then straight into the desert toward Punta Gallinas.
Since I'm neither bringing my surfboards nor SUP, I'd love to hear about places to rent. It sounds like surf conditions at this time of year aren't ideal for the Caribbean... Can anyone attest? I'm bringing short fins and a handplane just in case!
Oh, and lastly, if you know of spots, snorkeling areas, hikes, eats, hostels, cool peeps... please share! I'm open! Thanks!
