OK....I gotta go hit the hot tub and go to bed. What a day.....crazy race through heavy conditions, fog, and currents (dragged the buoy 200-300 yds down the beach). I didn't race but decided to post myself 1/2 way to the buoy so folks could find it and everyone on the beach including the racers thought I was nuts and way out of place which started the race with some confusion....a sharp right when they realized I really was 1/2 way to the buoy... ;D. I saw some great action out at the 1/2 way point including watching Brendan, the race winner and a true waterman by anyones standards, 3 times catch waves from right next to me...way, way out from the beach and watched him surf that old 14' glide all the way in on some bombs. I did miss the beach action though which looked outstanding even from outside. There were bombs to be had all during the race which was making for lots of position changes and a crazy beach in and out.

Conditions continued to be pretty big and gnarly for the SUS comp. We saw some great surfing. I at least had a couple good waves this year but when I saw I had creek and water-kook in my heat I knew that was as far as I was going.... ;)

Ok...now I gotta run...no pics from me yet but you'll see them here soon and I wanted to give weed a spot for them. He was there all day clicking away so we should have some awesome shots.

What a great day and the thing that consistently makes these event unforgettable is the core crew of people who come out to support our cause event after event....the CCBC family.

Thanks to all who came out.  I can't wait to see all pics...here's one to start it off
Whatever floats me

A few more here in the action sports gallery. http://www.pbase.com/jaypetersen

I only have 110 shots on my computer ....  outdone by eddie for sure,  but will get a few more on pbase.  Didn't really process these individually,  might repost some of the good ones.

How many Go Pro owners were at this event?  Did nobody take any video?

There may have been GoPro owners there but as far as I know no one was using one during the event. I posted at least a couple of thousand pics on my Facebook page. I was hoping some zoners would take some off there and post them on the Zone.

I'm still trying to get caught up on other things after spending two days processing the photos. Here is my link on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/eddie.devereaux/photos_albums

Creek has a Go Pro. He should have let you or Stoney borrow it.

The link says the page with your photos is currently unavailable.

You may have to sign up for Facebook. It's to time consuming to post photos here I have to do about three transactions to shrink it down to be able to post. I was hoping Creek grabbed some of my photos and posted here. I just spent 2 1/2 days processing 3000 photos for Facebook. I'll try to throw some up later when I find time.
