Anyone use an Arch Bar?

I've seen a couple of SUSers using an arch bar from a skimboard glued right at the tail of their board just ahead of the footstop.  When your foot is with in a few inches of the very tail of the board, you can feel it in the arch of your foot.  I'm pretty sure they are using it as an index to be able to feel when your foot is in the sweet spot for cranking turns.  I would like that feedback on my AW and am considering trying it.  Anybody have any input?

I love them, I've not bothered to cut my pad and install one but I want one.

You can also buy a stomp pad with them built in.

The Angulo Surfa's come with arch pads. I have the 9'4".

It's a really nice feature. You can plant your foot on the exact center line of the tail instantly just by feel every time.
