Nice. Those cruisey low wind sessions are a welcome break from the drama of high wind downwinders sometimes.

Have you tried the Kialoa GL Surf paddle for downwinding? Maybe it's a big bigger and stiffer than you like. But I like it and yesterday I found it really fast in flat water too. A friend of mine was using a Methane and we swapped paddles and he instantly took off from me. Gotta be careful with the power though.

Will you say more about using a 12'6" for a downwinder under low wind speed conditions?
