Yeah I just bought a board. They are super sturdy, hitting it with a hammer is an underestimate of the amount of damage it can go through. Considering that, they are actually pretty light. I think these guys made the Surf-Tech B-1 if you've ever tried that. Not really a surf style board but it performs pretty well. I'd recommend it for rentals especially because renters won't trash em and they'll last forever.
