Creek,

Those fins you have are using a old windsurfing fin principle allowing trailing edge twist to forestall cavitation Which per your mini test worked good but I would surmise that in bigger surf you might notice a loss in projection (straight line speed after the Bottom turn)

I use to use a fin setup (quad) on my shortboard back in the mid 80's and I liked it

Just my 2 cents

Jimmy.... I figured the same thing, but so far I have been really... REALLY... happy with the projection I get from this set up... may be the big, keel based sides...may be rail control, but something has given me some kickass projection and speed ;D

Sunset of the year last week after a rare November thunderstorm. The ocean was glassy all day, until about two hours before sunset. Then the wind clocked out of the north at about 15 kn. Kite surfers delight!

Sweet :D

I like #4... with the backlit kites and the smiley face over Seaside.... looks happy that the storm left.

Thanks for the Pic driving down Birmingham.... brought back lot of memories :)
That's what I saw when I pulled out of the back driveway.... I lived on Glasgow... I could check the reef from my bedroom. Great place to live....

I had a huge, 200 lb dog when I lived there... one day he was off roaming around. I called and whistled...but he was nowhere around... so I got in my car and headed for the beach. I was driving down Birmingham, I looked in my rear view mirror and saw "Grunter" come running out my driveway and chase me down the hill. I pulled into a defunct church parking lot, down by Manchester and waited for him. His head was down.... he was in full tilt boogie. Did not see me at all.... just charging down hill for all he was worth.

Just as he was passing me... I beeped the horn :D

He looked over in surprise and tried, in vain, to make a 90 degree turn...he went down hard.... started flipping ass over teakettle down the hill... fur flying everywhere ;D ;D ;D

Hey! He weighed 200 lbs... it was fun to mess with him!

Anyway... thanks for the smiles ;)

That's a cool pic!  Why is the wave empty?

I like the last smiley face one.  That special light on the waves was perfect with the grey backdrop.  The others have a ton of blue to chew on that's almost overwhelming.   Did you use a polarizer?
