"DJ" video mount tested in Cape Town
« on: October 21, 2013, 09:52:28 PM »
Almost embarrassing the amount of videos that are loaded with the new Glide - but finally made up a "DJ" mount so couldn't help but post.

Wind a little soft 18-26knots so not big but ok fun...

Nice fun glides!  Cape Town as new DW destination.

That mount is super, what a great way to view the downwinders.
Probably a good training aid too.

With the naish logo at the start I guessed it was a commercial, not just
some mates having fun.  Enjoyed it anyway.

Nice.. I'm thinking you need it a bit lower.. and a bit wider.. and try and get the horizon in the center.. see my vid

Do have a pic showing it.

DJ - thanks - I see what you mean, I have Hero 2 on full wide 720p/30frames. I'll try and turn it out a little further, I don't have LCD so will have to thumbsuck the horizon bit. I didn't fit the carbon cross bars you have, yet, not sure it would make such a big difference to the bounciness, the rig seems pretty stiff - I think its more to do with my scuffling/hopping around instead of gliding back and forth like you Jeremy R and Ivan van Vuuren!

No carbon cross bars on mine.. It's all just cheap plastic pipes.. Also no LCD and I also just using a GoPro 2 on the same settings..

Looking forward to more vid from a stronger day and also less wobble would be nice..  ;D
