Levity, what gorgeous photos, thank you for the inspiration!

What camera/housing were you using?

Thanks again for a great montage of photos, makes me want to make the long trek to Tahoe this coming May or September.

Aloha Will,

Thanks for the kind comments. We're also looking forward to more of Tahoe when it warms up again!

The camera is just a simple, compact, waterproof Sony DSC TX20.  (I do some processing in SmugMug with PicMonkey)

Mrs levity and I were in the Tahoe area again for some hiking, biking and paddling, and what better way to celebrate the autumnal equinox than a duathlon redux.

The DL Bliss State Park and Emerald Bay areas were as beautiful as ever, and we were treated to perfect weather.  A few pics:

Jill preparing her iPod tunes for the morning paddle

along the shoreline - you can see how low the lake is from the waterline on the rocks

maneuvering between rocks in a shallow inlet

heading further out in glassy conditions

a view from the afternoon Rubincon Trail hike toward South Shore, Stateline, and the Heavenly Valley Ski area
(you can just make out the quarter moon in the sky above Monument Peak)
