Waterproof Quad Copter
« on: August 30, 2013, 09:16:10 AM »
This is something a bit different , a waterproof quad copter . I have set this up to shoot a new Sup movie in Fiji next month. Not such a perfect first test but the the results are pretty cool.

very very cool, I thought big oops when it dropped in the drink, then it took off from the water, not just waterproof, but amphibious!!!!  does it have the ability to fly autonomously? Be cool if you could wear a beacon and have it track you, add a programmed flight path around the beacon so you get many view points.

I just started flying 'copters, building a 450 as we speak, the multicopters have got my attention as well

You can get the copters at Quad H2O . The body only starts at $750 and it goes up pretty fast from there. You can make these fully programmable and yes they can follow a beacon . You don't need the float on the go pro . It floats fine on its own. Inside the dome is the GPS , on board camera , Naza controls and fan cooled receivers . These are pretty technical to set up it helps if you have a buddy that's knows this stuff.

Pretty cool.

Did the test flight start with  "Hold my beer and watch this....."?
