It's the 10'6....

I must have rented the 10'6" last year, super fun board, and stable, just did not do it for me though.

Why not?  I totally get the 6" vs. 4" advantage of the Hala, I may need to get up to Moab and give one a go.

The MCIT  looked pretty flexy in that vid, that would drive me nuts.

It felt less stiff then a 6" but that is understandable. Something about the rails and how they sink when water comes over.. Its not huge problem but the look of them gives them more of a raft look and not a board and I think that is why they can sink like a raft. They are super stable though, and prob more stable then my boar or a Uli.

I'm thinking of the 11'6 MCIT for multi day white trips into the Scottish wilderness. In a suspicion that the next years model will have drainage hole as the Badfisher MCIT does.

Self bailing would be a plus.

The MCIT has been selling over here in the UK with big discounts.. I can only guess it's because they are bringing out an improved model?

Tried my other friends RedPaddleCo Explorer 12'6 yesterday too. Totally different but perhaps ideal for what Im after. I will try them side by side tonight!

I would love to try a Red, just no one around here who has any. They seem like a great board along with a ULI. Only issue I have is they say their boards are "River" boards but they have similar shapes as there other boards. Whereas Badfish, Corran and Hala are making boards for the rivers because the companies are based out of mtn towns and/or have river back grounds. White Water kayaking is a huge influence, and you are seeing things taken directly from creek and play boats and used in their SUP river boards. Corran is designing their boards with thicker front ends that give it more power to push through rapids like a creek boat, so is Badfish with the MVP. Hala has a progressive shape that puts more boat up front to do the same and gives it more stability, and narrow in the rear for more control.

By the way Corran just got the first plastic Street fighters molded. I want to pull the trigger on one, but not sure yet.
