...some fun 2 foot surf the last few days, but it looks like things may be getting better:

Actually the surfline buoy reading of the NW buoy already shows an interesting one foot at 21 seconds on Sunday night.
Happy surf!

WOW!!!! a 21 second period. I don't think we ever get that around here in Florida. I can't remember it if we have. Huricane Florence was about 10ft @ 15-16 seconds, and that was HUGE for Florida. 1ft @ 21 seconds would ahve to be some super fun long lines.

Cammar will remember that North Shore one from Late October 4 or 5 years back.  28 feet at the NW #1, 23 seconds.

October 28th and 29th... can't remember exactly what year.
I broke the mast at the outer reef at upper Kanaha. The life guards rescued me (god bless them). We cut thru the reef at lowers when an over mast high set hit. Laying down on the sled hanging on my gear those waves looked really big...
The day after it was windy again and it was the busiest day ever for the life guards. Something like 40 rescues. Even though they were exhausted, they didn't leave at 4pm like they were supposed to and kept rescuing people all day.

I love the life guards at Kanaha!

Back to the one foot, 21 seconds. Yesterday night I scored some really fun ones at 1000 peaks till... 9.15pm! The full moon rose around 7 and I just kept SUP surfing. The tide was good and going right you would go towards the moon and in its light.
It was about my 10th time with the full moon and every time I wonder:
1) why I don't do this all the full moons?
2) why most people don't do this?
While I can imagine some kind of fish fear for question 2, I have no answers for question 1...
Maybe I'll go again tonight. Randy, gimme a call if interested.
