I can't remember who sang the original and I'm too lazy at the moment to search for the answer, but I like this cover:

Listening to a pretty damn good local band across the canyon play Cream's  "Sunshine of your Love" right now...
Recently saw a special on Hall & Oates after their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame...missed the whole pop music thing while in college...so, I dug a little more and uncovered this gem...

Multi-platinum Matchbox Twenty vocalist Rob Thomas joins Daryl Hall for a special pairing of two of pop-rock's leading singer/songwriters on the 31st and latest installment of Live From Daryl's House. The two join together on a soulful version of the classic, "I Heard It Through the Grapevine."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DV_nGyjwISk

"Past episodes of Live from Daryl’s House have featured a mix of well-known performers like Train, Rob Thomas, Smokey Robinson, The Doors’ Robby Krieger and Ray Manzarek, Nick Lowe, K.T. Tunstall, Todd Rundgren, Gym Class Heroes’ Travis McCoy, Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump, Finger Eleven’s James Black and Rick Jackett, the Bacon Brothers and country star Jimmy Wayne, along with newcomers such as Philly soul singer Mutlu, Canadian techno-rockers Chromeo, pop-rock phenom Eric Hutchinson, Cash Money rocker Kevin Rudolf, Wind-up Records’ Chicago rockers Company of Thieves, Bay Area singer/songwriter Matt Nathanson, Charlottesville, VA’s rising Parachute, Plain White T’s, Fitz and the Tantrums, Diane Birch and Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings.

Daryl started the free monthly web show in late 2007 after having the idea of “playing with my friends and putting it up on the Internet,” and the show has since garnered acclaim from Rolling Stone, SPIN, Daily Variety, CNN, BBC, Yahoo! Music and influential blogger Bob Lefsetz, who have cited Live From Daryl’s House as a perfect example of a veteran artist reinventing himself in the digital age by collaborating with both established colleagues and newer performers."

Aloha Greg,
Believe me...I know...a couple of our younger staff members were there and shot me some vid...
My ticket connection said that the prices in the first couple of rows doubled immediately after going on sale...then further climbed...so, after seeing them a couple of times up front and partying with them back stage, we had to take a pass because of what we had paid already to take our shop manager and his wifey to Monday's FGL show there...and, another killer...but, super spendy show that we're going to in October...

I took this ZBB vid 4 years ago...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ruMkL8AJQDk

Speaking of Kid Rock and Zac Brown...they have played together for years...here's a cover they did together of Grand Funk Railroad's "American Band"...there's a bunch of others on You Tube...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VojkRA54x4I

Kid giving ZBB a heartfelt shoutout...

That Live from Darryl's House stuff is beyond amazing...tight rock & roll...68 episodes that he gives away for free...
The webisode #63 with Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top frickin' rocked!
Bad ass version of "La Grange"...and "Sharp Dressed Man"...a couple of classic covers..."Thunderbird"...etc...

http://www.livefromdarylshouse.com/currentep.html?ep_id=78

"ZZ Top seems to mail it in live; playing stuff almost note for note but this performance with Daryl's band was outstanding....stellar jams throughout; Billy is one of the greatest guitar gods on earth and you see how easily interacts with the whole bands I hope Daryl brings in more rockers..."

Siblings...father is a music producer...they are good...cool to see her brother guitar/piano wearing a Miles Davis tshirt in the Let it Be vid clip below...they were signed to Sony...I think that they are trying to slow things down and refine their act before they bust it loose...they are young and have time...;-)

Yoko Ono has also noticed...
"After turning down Yoko Ono's offer to cover Imagine, the Mexican band decided on Let It Be. The Vazquez Sounds give a great rendition to this classic from The Beatles. Watch the music video after the jump.
Vazquez Sounds are an internet phenomenon that came to the scene when they uploaded to YouTube a Rolling In The Deep cover. Since then, they have covered songs like Forget You and All I Want For Christmas Is You.
Yoko Ono took notice of these kids and invited them to participate in her Non-Violence foundation and sing Imagine.

They opted not to make a new version of that song because the lyrics include, "Imagine there's no heaven," which goes against their religion.
It looks like they settled on covering another song though and that is how Let It Be came to fruition.
Take a look at the complete music clip below and watching Yoko Ono make an appearance at the end to promote her foundation."
