A little more music from Sly Stone, whom I understand is now a homeless man, living in his camper truck on the streets of L.A.

Live From Daryl's House with Robby Krieger and Ray Manzarek of The Doors - "Family Affair"

Wow, I'm enjoying some great stuff on this thread. I was fortunate enough to see Stevie Ray Vaughn before he died. Jimi Hendrix was a little before my time and I was introduced to "Voodoo Chile" by Stevie Ray on his "Live Alive" album. Imagine sitting in the seventh row watching this man play guitar. I"ll never forget that night.

Voodoo Child - Stevie Ray Vaughan (El Mocambo 1983)

Soul Kitchen covered by X.  I actually like this version better and it's produced by                 Ray Manzarek.

Was just in Chewelah WA last week for a client visit. Chewelah is the hometown of Allen Stone.

Here is a cover of "You and I", with the Seattle Rock Orchestra. This kid has pipes and stole your grandma's glasses.

Terrible cell phone recording or something but I can't find an official version so far. Best part starts about 3:45.

You and I, Seattle Rock Orchestra featuring Allen Stone, 2011

He has lots of other great covers. I like his cover of "I Can't Make you Love Me" by Bonnie Raitt too.
Make paddleboarding great again!

Got beaten to Richard Thomson covering Brittney Spears, just more proof he can play anything and make it sound good.

Legion covering a Legion
The Jimi Hendrix Experience - All Along The Watchtower

Two Hendrix covers
Angelique Kidjo - Voodoo Child (Voodoo Chile) - Live - 1999

So, Do You Wanna Dance?

(Yeah I know, it was written and originally recorded by Bobby Freeman.....but c'mon, who do you immediately think of when you here it?  :D)

Try this one:
Welcome To The Jungle (cover by Richard Cheese)
suprbowl--that was so bad it was good.  I looked up Richard Cheese--found equally bad lounge versions of Stairway to Heaven, Bohemian Rhapsody.... Thanks for expanding my musical world.

He does a great "I like big butts" but couldn't find it on YouTube. Need to do a deeper search.

Did you really say that?
I wouldn't touch that line with a 10", I mean a 10' pole.  ;D

Very smooth how you did touch that line while saying you wouldn't.   ;D

Reminds me of a question that is difficult to answer--"Why is the ringtone you set up on your phone for me, "Fat-bottomed Girls"?

Great thread!

I've always admired Kid Rock for doin what he does..... writes anything he wants. Or he pays homage to other great musicians out there... old & new.

Good one of the Kid doin Jamey Johnson's In Color.

Another of my favorites is Nickelback's version of Saturday Nights alright for fighting.

The Kennedy Honors tributes are pretty awesome. I have blown a couple nights going thru all those years of videos paying tribute to Zeppelin, Buddy Guy, Paul McCartney, Johnny Cash, Elton John, the Who, Neil Diamond, Paul Simon, etc. If you haven't looked it up, do it.

Anyone ever notice how much Jimmy Page looks like VP Joe Biden?!
