First w/e on board

I picked my C4 on Wednesday, went out a bit (with a group) Wed night. This w/e I was able to get some solo paddling in. On Saturday my daughter and I went down to a wide spot in the river, I paddled around and she sat in the shade writing. Got the call today from a friend who is a long time SUPer, "let's hit the river". We hit it. Went along a narrow river through Asheville (Swannanoa River), then hit the French Broad. Paddled down to one of the primary takeouts. Nice 1.5 hour paddle.

The C4 BK Pro 10'11 did ok.  My daughter, who is 5'2 and 80 odd pounds, kneeled on the back of the board while I did the driving and steering. I thought she'd freak out but the minute we hit the water she let out a hoot. Only one semi spill, that was going over a rapid and we got sideways. I had to dismount but she was ok, thought it was funny.

Pretty fun seeing our town from the river. Lots of fish, a few ducks. Near Biltmore Estate we ran through a huge bamboo forest that was so pretty. Next time I'll bring the camera.

The kid is already asking if we can go on Thursday.
