Sylvan Lake, Alberta: Blue Planet SUP clinics on July 4, 5, 6, 7

Robert Stehlik, the owner of Blue Planet and professional SUP coach will be in Sylvan Lake, Alberta offering SUP clinics on the afternoons of July 4-7.

We will have 4 demo boards available for the clinics and can accommodate up to 8 participants per day without boards, plus an unlimited number of participants bringing their own boards.  There is no charge to sign up for the clinic if you bring your own equipment.

You may sign up for one day or multiple days.  A reservation fee of $20 is charged for participants without boards.  In return the participants will receive a $20 gift certificate to Nomads that can be redeemed for any SUP related products in the shop plus a promo goodie bag from Blue Planet.  So basically it is a free clinic, we just want to make sure that those who sign up also show up.  Reservation fee is non- refundable and no-shows do not receive the gift certificate or goodie bag.

Daily Schedule:
 
1:00 pm- Sign up

1:10  Introduction, Safety briefing.  We will start with a basic introduction to SUP for the first timers.  After basic instructions, we will send out a group of paddlers and switch off every 10 minutes or so.
 
1:30-2:30 pm - We will continue with more advanced paddle tips on land while half the group is paddling.  We will give specific tips on how to improve stroke technique based on skill level and will focus on more advanced stroke technique for the more advanced paddlers and those attending several clinics. We may also use video coaching to make suggestions to improve technique.  We will also talk about gear and what boards and gear are suited best for conditions and type/ skill level of paddler.
 
2:30 pm- time to pack up, all boards need to be out of the water by 2:30 pm.  

2:40- 3:30 pm Shop talk, we will head over to the Nomads shop to go over the features of Blue Planet SUP's and offer individualized advice on boards, paddles and equipment and will help to set up boards and equipment for buyers.  For available boards and prices, please visit the Nomads website:
