My daily paddling spot for the past half dozen years is about to change forever.

It out with the old.. and in with the new.

All the wood pier is to be replaced with floating concrete and plastic coated steel poles.

They are also extending the rock breakwater wall and I've been watching the progress over the past weeks.

Here's a few pics showing the old.. and the start of the new.

I took some vid today showing what my daily winter paddling is like.
