Savannah, GA - where to paddle?

So I'll be in Savannah on business at the end of July / first of August.  I'll likely bring a my board.  Where do I want to go paddle?  Where should I not go?

I'll be on a 14' Fanatic Fly Race Flatwater board.  I'm accustomed to inland paddling, and given that I'll be alone, don't want to do anything too far outside of my comfort zone.  I'm fine with the coast if it's really calm.  I'll be staying in the historic part of town but will have a couple of open slots on my schedule during which I could drive a bit.

Savannah is really beautiful for Flatwater paddling.  There are several great area to go and explore.  There is a great chance that the Ocean will be flat that time of year. 

Wilmington Island and Tybee Island will be some spots you will want to check out.  There are a few Suppers that are up in that area and maybe they will chime in.

If they don't chime in I will ask my Friend form Wilmington Island to give me some more specifics.
