"Danny Ching Signs Up For Molokai; Will This Be The Most Competitive Channel Crossing Ever?"

http://www.supracer.com/molokai-2013-stacked-field/

Very interested to see how Danny does in this race.  He has done it tons of times in a canoe, and he has won it twice in a OC-1.  Lord knows he is fast as hell on the flats in a SUP.  Exciting stuff...

Dave keeps saying he's done his last M2O, but with his great dinosaur showing at the Olukai I bet he's tempted.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

Dave told me after last years M2M that his days of M2O solo are done.  He is such a unbelievable competitor though.....gotta be hard to stop.  The Pailolo is such a blast, not sure why it is not a bigger race.

Dave said last week that he might do M2O on a team, but wasn't going to do it solo.  He said he's traveling too much to get enough training in.

It would be cool to put GPS tracking on the top 5 male and female athletes so we can track them online during the race.

This was done in Holland on a several day race thru canals and such and made a rather blah race seem a little more exciting.  Chilly, this is a great idea!  It can be done and would really spice up an already epic race.

Conner has been on a rampage and in the open ocean, he's the target.  I like rooting for the older guys as well since I'm like many on this forum and am in my second half of this life.  But I'm also stoked to see young guys like Conner, Kai, Kody, Zane and Mo step up and represent youth in what might otherwise be considered just an old mans' sport.

There’s a device called SPOT that can do it. Since M2O is such a long distance race it would be perfect. Headmount, maybe you can bring it up with your connections or hide one in Conner’s hydration pack.  :)

No need to hide it.  He'd think that was a cool idea as well.  Anything for the fans, right?

Conner represents the future of the sport so well. He’s a great role model for other young athletes.

According to Marshall Rosa .. Travis Grant will be riding a new unlimited board designed by Marshal Rosa and Billy Robello. Marshal took 2nd place in the surf ski world championships in the Molokai Channel 9 times behind Oscar Chalupsky and has been doing molokai channel for 40 years. He has designed a pretty killer down wind board. He was out surfing China walls in 5 to 6 foot waves with it a few weeks ago, and actually surfing them !!. Last year I saw travis jump on Marshals board about halfway into a Hawaii Kai run and there were some other Top 10 paddlers there and he literally left them in the dust !!!  That was an older prototype . The new ones are faster.  Travis will be a contender for sure !!

If Marshall designed this new board, who is building it and how? (hollow or EPS)  Do you know how much it weighs?
