from another post-

i have the starboard 12 6 which is rigged up for windsurfing.  I dont ws but the glide is amazing and much faster open paddle than the laird.

Cammar uses the smaller starboard the 12'2 and here is a clip that proves what this board can do

I just picked up a used Mistral Pacifico today.  Any suggestions on where to get an inexpensive sail/mast/boom setup?  I'm in south Orange County so we don't get much over 10kts in the afternoon.  Once I'm rigged I'll report back & let you know how it sails.  The board is 11'4" X 30" and is pretty light for it's size.  Paddles pretty good too and it's got a soft deck & rails so it's good for taking beginners out on.  Where are you guys sailing?

Tons of great Longboard sailing tips, gear info, etc http://www.hotsailsmaui.com/forum/viewforum.php?id=4 on Jeff's site.  This was his concept, so no one better to ask.
