Lake Superior was absolutely huge yesterday
« on: April 20, 2013, 06:26:57 PM »
I wasn't there.  I was happily surfing junky conditions on Lake MI.  This is on the west end of Lake superior. It's a short clip and you get a sense of the size from the laydown surfers scratching over.  There are no standups in it and nobody even catches a wave in this clip.  But it's absolutely huge for an inland freshwater lake.

I was counting about a 9 second swell period. Nice conditions but a challenge to get out for sure. Once you past the break zone it looks like you get rewarded with a nice right.
