Heavy or Lite with the feet

I spend 6 Months a year on a snowboard an taught to be lite on your feet, is this true for SUP surfing? i watched some video of myself an both my feet come off the board at times???????

both feet off the board is VERY light...
Actually, I am sure that most who take off in parallel stance, hop into surf stance and fly momentarily.

When cross stepping around on aboard, I always made an attempt to be fluid and graceful. My goal was not to upset trim. It always had to be done lightly, because tromping around will make the board swerve willy-nilly into a guardrail. ;D
