KT...don't you think you want some on those gaps at the rear rails. I can see feet being planted there on occasion.

Stoneaxe...Mahalo, probably will add the ends to a few more rows. Haven't tried it yet but would hate to blow a sweet wave slipping off. Aloha and keep shredding !!!

New design.  The gaps are just wide enough to give the feeling of having a massage  ;).  The toe grips better too.

KT - Did you get a chance to try it yet? Curious to see how the traction worked

Sup44- yes I did, very small day maybe chest high sets. Feels like more grip than a solid pad pushing both toe side and heel side. Used a Popsicle stick "3/8" for spacing and it feels ok paddling, not as cushie as solid pad but worth the trade off Imo. Guess you could close the gap for more comfort and still be ok cause the toes will drop in the gaps. Good luck doing your board and I think you'll like it

Wow....are those getting machine cut or are you just very patient?.... :D.

How is that working as traction? Seems like a lot of empty spots and some very thin lines....do they hold without tearing?

Sorry for the late reply.  No white pad.  Hand cut and it took few a couple of days.  I've no problem with traction (my friends have problem because they are so used to the full pad) and after two months the design is holding up well.

I'm in the midst of fixing my 14'er. Stripped the pad so a redo will be in order. White with the Vec star in blue so wavy red pad and more blue stars...... :)
