It's been a terrible year for me. I'd usually be up around 30-40 surf and flatwater combined. This year around 10.

. Broken board, two bouts of the flu, it's been quality over quantity so far this year.
Though the total does bum me a bit...

Lake has been frozen up here and it is minus 10 Celsius right not. Sailboat goes in the water in 5 weeks mind you. Leave for Antigua in 4 weeks so first session will be there and then. Can't wait !

Saw "Tremblant" in your name and had to check... welcome to the fold!
Coldest I ever experienced was skiing Mt Tremblant at 30 below zero. I was at Grey Rocks Inn for a week long ski lesson. Great spot... but pretty gosh darn cold.

Post pics of SUPing the lake when the ice leaves

8 surfs.  Always wish for more, but I'm OK with that.

Lots of Saturdays spent chasing kids on soccer fields, etc. these days.  Fun of a different kind.

It's OK to have a disclaimer, but goals dictate your activities. Working a 60 hour week and two children, I was able to ride 350-500 miles a week for over 18 years because bike racing was my goal.

This is ironic teamalty. I raced/trained/rode for 10 years but then kids derailed my time and passion to train. Enter SUP.
Taller than most, shorter than others.

Sup_sur_giant, there could have been a problem, but by the time I started at age 30, my children were older. They followed me to races, and I made their ball games. Also my bike training started 4 a.m. rain or shine, living in Seattle, and then again from about 6-9 p.m.. The weekends were races or long group rides. Normally we would have 20-40(some times more) riders on training rides You probably guessed that on weekends our totals were between 150-250 miles. I tried paddling in the dark--that was not fun. It seemed easier to ride in the dark, but that was a long time ago. I probably wouldn't do it today.
I do work three days a week, and now that my wife is retired, she joins me on most paddles. Even while she was working (retired two weeks ago) she still paddled a minimum of five days a week. The SUP racing group is by far the most fun of any group in all the years of racing--run, bike, car, boat, canoe and now SUP. Smile.

That's a pretty brutal schedule! Yeah, the little kids makes it challenging.

Can't get my wife to paddle though. I'll have to appreciate the 10 years riding together I guess.

There's been a few days... I haven't gone.  But I try to swim on those days.
