Maybe vented (Gore-tex) leash cups and of course the new vented FCS handle; both possibilities.

Here is the message I received back from Starboard this morning regarding the 2013 Pocket Rocket:

"We do not supply air vents in 013.
It was  a trial year in 013 (probably meant to say 012) and proved as expected that lots of riders would forget or loose their air vents.

We have not received one single warranty case with any Carbon boards since 3 years concerning any sort of damage , so all is well."

This certainly seems to defy conventional thinking, but you have to give Starboard credit for bucking the trend.  Keeping it simple.

That is weird I got a board with that exact same "Nail Shot" Shipper paid to have it repaired perfectly

I never say that before or after until this post I wonder how it happens?

Jim, I'm thinking that it's just a stray shot from a nail gun during the crating process.

is this done yet? i didn't see mentioned, if you have no pressure valve to open up and neutralize pressure in the board, there is a chance your epoxy patch will blow a bubble before it cures.  usually safer to do it late in the evening when temps are falling.   better to suck the resin into the ding a little bit than blow it out, if your board exhales.   besides that consideration, it looks pretty simple fix.  ;D
