Dawn patrol session with Martog at Tourmaline this morning. Martog drops in on an overhead peak at Grimace rock. After he paddles back out, a hardcore longboard proner comments "That was a great drop in, probably the best I've seen one of you guys get, but not that I watch you guys that much"

Despite the last part of his statement, I took it as a strong compliment to Martog. Probably the first complimentary thing the guy has ever said to a SUP.

Martog's drop in was even better considering the conditions. Morning started with heavy wind and really lumpy/bumpy. Martog described the conditions best, wave faces seemed like mogul runs!

Conditions were less than ideal but we had some fun surfing the mogul fields!

And I hate to say it, but things cleaned up a bit after you paddled in...
