How to Post a Picture on the "Zone" ... a pictorial (Mac)

I forgot to say that when going for the partial grab, a crosshair cursor appears on your desktop. Just drag it diagonally over the area you want to capture.

I have always used a program called "Snapz Pro" to do screen shots... I use that instead of the method I described because it makes every picture a "low size"... perfect for posting, without the extra steps.
I like it because it "freezes" a vid the second you hit the button....great for grabbing shots off video

Your tip makes it even easier to reduce a pic for posting... thanks again

A very simple way for mac or PC is to use http://tinypic.com/ All you need to do is now where your picture is. It gives you 5 or 6 size choices including "Message board (640X480)"

Thanks Creek for starting this. Like many things Mac, there's more than one way to skin a cat.

There is a quicker way then mentioned above, using Export.

In short:
-Double Click your photo in iPhoto
-Click File, Export from bar on top left of screen
-Select the Size, Large is adequate and well below limit, or you can select custom.
-Save As: pick the name, the select which folder to save it in.
Done!

No need to copy/paste to screen and hunt to find.
