Wow, good stuff. Now I see why Mark calls Livio a "Lazy Brazilian". Guy should paddle some. That board of his is a light as it looks. I picked it up the other day--probably half the weight of mine and I think mine is light.

The camera mount is great. I have an idea for building a pan and tilt powered mount that will track a specific object. Pretty easy to do, a drone software design I know of for following people uses shirt color and creates a boundary box on the video image. When the shirt overflows the box the drone backs up. general navigation consists of just keeping the shirt in the box.  I'd use the same principle to keep a specific colored shirt within an image box with pan and tilt. Just a tweak to the software. Two waterproof servos to run the pan and tilt.

Easy peasy. It's already built in my head.

Though now that I think if it he software generally runs on a laptop and streams nav to the drone.

Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

Fantastic.  My two favorite paddlers.  Loved the mount.  Only JR could keep up with Livio.  He's really good at this.  Red is such a great color for the cam to grab.  It loves red.

Yeah PBills jaw dropped when we picked up Livios' board.  I think he said 26 lbs.

Good work JR.

I think it was Mark who said Livio likes his board "ultra light" layup.  The amount I fall, that board would be a kite! I had the option of ordering my Bullet V2 in a lighter layup, I decided standard was light enough.

One Curtis "Da Bull" Iaokea (50th state wrestling when I grew up) knee drop into that light lay-up and it'd be glub-glub.  Yeah standard is fine.  I"m not beating anyone in a race anyways.  But Livio is a greyhound.

Both V1.  There's a pic on J. Riggs webpage: http://paddlewithriggs.com/

I guess only Livio can answer why he's on a V1.  I know SICs FAQs says the V2 was more suited for heavy riders with it's higher volume and increased stability, something guys like Livio, Jeremy, Conor and the like don't need.

Great video!  Best angle I have seen yet on a downwind video.

Takeo, thanks for highlighting JR's video. That's one of the best downwind videos I've seen.

That was awesome.
For the Maui locals i have a question.
Is Livio goofy or natural?
His foot rudder suggests he is natural but he seems to jump in goofy stance on steep runners???
Maybe he just goes both.
Whatever, he looks so relaxed and in control compared to anyone else i have seen... :)
