Kai or Dave.
Kai is like a seal slithering along and Dave is like a great white blasting thru. Both are amazing water athletes. I can't imagine even being out there...

great to be able to see this niche sport at all. I've been paddling 2 years and showed some friends at work some  YouTube vids of what's going on in sup. I'm saying " look at the next big thing, it's like MTB back in the 70's " its gonna be big.....they looked at me with incredulous faces, and said that has to be the most niche thing they have ever seen. and these people are 15-20 years younger than me...

Channel is closing out.  You saw how those guys were scrambling yesterday... today would just be the luck of the draw as to whether a competitor made it outside.

I missed Kai and Dave's heat looked at some high lights they both rip. I was stoked for Matt Becker a Santa Barbara kid he was going for it some top to bottom turns on some big waves getting advanced. He has been or is on the Blue line team riding PSH boards one of my friends that surfs for Blue line told me a few weeks ago Matt was surfing here in Oxnard on a big swell testing some new boards Bark made him. It' cool to see some new guy's in the mix.

Go Matt

You want to see niche? Check this out. Oddly enough, Red Bull are major sponsors of both.

Kai is amazing. He looks like he's on a prone board the way he attacks those critical parts of the wave  He had a great barrel in semi's.
Cody looked great too, also had a good barrel earlier.

Congrats to all the finalists, it was a great final and the whales jumping in the background was a nice bonus.

Wish Vegas took bets on this, Kai was my original pick.

The guy is amazing, great wave selection, amazing abilities, humble and just a good person.

I appreciate the sponsors who enabled a live show last night.

I have one petty question though, did the annoucer have a Surfer Mag Hat on??

Congrats to Kai. Amazing waterman. I'm going to have an Amp energy drink today to show my support to the sponsors. Haha.
