VERY DIFFERENT PADDLE HANDLE (Anyone tried one ?????)

Ok, no offense to manufacturer , but this Paddle handle is weird:

I've tried it (and have one) but I prefer the normal T grip handle .. It does feel good against your hand to push against but it bings your thumb down because you don't put your thumb through the hole.. It's not all bad.. I'm sure some people will love it.

One of the points is that you have the possibility to move your hand down, so you have two different shaft lengths at hand on the water.

I originally tried one because I had a paddle that was already cut, but I wanted more length than what a typical handle would give me. It's about 4.5" from top of shaft to top of handle (about 1.5" more than a QB handle), so it worked in that regard. It is interesting, and the new carbons are way lighter than the originals. On the flats it didn't feel much different than normal handle, as far as the 2 paddle lengths it provides while using the inside of the handle, it didn't really work for me because the inside hole was too narrow on the bottom to comfortably get even 3 fingers in there. Might work better for someone with smaller hands.

Makes you wonder if shovels might work better if you put a paddle handle on them.

That's right!  He probably could have used a paddle with no handle and still do well!  But he had some good things to say about that handle.
