Headed to Maine
« on: October 25, 2012, 04:24:39 PM »
Hey everyone! I'm headed back home to Maine for a few weeks to visit family in mid November.

I'll be renting a board to get out and do some paddle surfing during my stay. If anyone wants to come up to midcoast Maine and paddle and/or i'm totally willing to travel for surf, just let me know!

Hey Oki !
I am up for something... let me know when you are here.
I was trunking it yesterday on a 7 mile flat-water on the Cape... in Pleasant Bay.
It was frickin gorgeous ;D

I'd really like to see some of Maine by SUP... or SUS... whatever.

I'd be happy to hook up with some zoners in my home state.  When Oki figures out dates and we get a sense of the weather, lets do something...either a SUS sesh or hit an offshore island/lighthouses.

As we get closer to mid November we gotta nail down some locations for our paddle.

Any ideas?

Sounds like i wont have to travel far  ;)

My plans are wide open. What is set in stone is i'll be flying in on the 15th and will be around till the 2nd. I'm ready whenever, wherever  ;D

You guys let me know what works for you. That'll work best seeing the last time i surfed in Maine was in 2004.

Its getting closer to New England trip. Anyone have ideas for a good "central" location to meet and get a session in (or two)?

What suits are you guys wearing this time of the year? 4/3 5/4/3? Hoodie, booties, gloves?

I'll jump in to get it started....better ideas will follow, I'm sure.

It's looking cooler for the next few weeks, so I guessing you'll need more than me...
you are climatized a bit, right? so.... Surf ...5/4?... less to paddle flat-water
Everyone on Cape Cod is already fully covered... hood included.
I paddled 2 hours flat-water (bays) yesterday... in trunks and a turtleneck.

It's your show... seems like Mainers should call the spots.

I have Sundays and Wednesdays off, but may be able to do some switching around.

Sounds good. I'll be far from climatized. Surfed today in a thermal top and board shorts. Its 75 degrees outside and the water is equally as warm. I'll need a drysuit by the sound of it!  :D

I'll be here on the 15th and leaving Dec 2nd.
