SoCal Zone Contest
« on: October 23, 2012, 09:40:35 PM »
It would be held on a Sunday between sunrise and when it gets crowded.

The waves would have to be good.

I'd steal Strand Leper's NW secret spot to hold it at.

There would be a yet to be determined prize.

Judges must surf in the contest, lest ye be judged.

No entry fee, surf what you got.

It would be fun.

Your thoughts?

I'd be down with it, but if it were closer to glass off, beer c/would be involved.....
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

either way i like it.

Funny John...
Your son is so good.

I guess we could do this on a Saturday afternoon.  Doesn't even have to be a contest.  Heck, another Tim-a-palooza would be fun again!

:)

Sweet!  I've been practicing my baton twirling, especially after that last video that SoCal posted. Today, I dropped my paddle on a backside transition and it bounced off the board and the wave took off with it. Suddenly I was surfing without a paddle....

But then a lightbulb went off.  The idea of making a small board that can be surfed without a paddle.  Have they invented that yet?
