Got it Magenta. The thing about the west side beaches ( polihale?) is that rental cars aren't allowed to drive off road and there's no paved aces.

Thx for the recent 411 guys.

Maui.

10 day trips to anywhere are hard to score optimum conditions....
always good to have SUP with you, for paddling and exploring in case the surf is lack luster.

Hawaii has so much natural beauty that it alway delivers rejuvenation  :)

For sure!

I did lots of this in Maui last week:

8'0"x28" travel board.

To sooth my ego, it's a visit to the island, not a surf trip.
So when I get skunked (twice in a row), I won't be so upset....      (riiiiiight).  :o

Time to get foiling...but how do you travel on a plane with one?  ::)

KeNalu foil looks pretty good for that

Thanks.  I came across this shortly after posting.
Those in-the-know, say it's better to buy a board specifically for foiling, vs converting an existing surfboard/SUP.
But hey, we all have different budgets.
I currently have 5 sups and three surfboards.
One of them needs to get hacked so I can get started.   8)

Maui has wind so how about doing some kiting or windsurfing?

I think it's amazing that the couple each has their own grill.

Dude, yes, I needed those pics today.

Know that a lot of foils (Naish) break down for travel too.
