Great vid.. But my ankles hurt just watching..  ;D

That's amazing!!! All of us that are current (or ex) windsurfers can appreciate how hard these moves are. That guy is doing things I can't even begin to imagine (much less pull off)...   Thanks for the vid, admin...            Paddle on;   JD

Found this vid of Kai Lenny windsurfing from his POV, pretty cool. Amazing abilities in SUP, Surfing, Kite and obviously windsurfing. Nice kid too, met him at recent Chicago event, which he won.

It's simple, either you get the wave or the wave gets you.

I recognize the falling in part at the end. I'm pretty proficient at that.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

Can't believe the price of windsurfing equipment these days. Makes a SUP board look downright reasonable.

Right, when did that happen?  2K +/-.

We (at Aerotech Sails) are working on that issue. Here is a link to a short video on the Wind-SUP rig. It's an in-expensive solution to bringing the fun of windsurfing to your windsurf-enabled SUB...
The rig is mast/sail/boom/base extension and retails from $399 for the 3.2 square meter sail, up to $499 for the 5.8 (the 5.8 is surprisingly powerful too)...

2k + for a windsurfwave board plus all the other carbon- mast booms ect. makes it a high dollar game. But $1500 for a 8 to 9 ft wavesup and $350+ for a paddle does not make jump for joy. What's the saying You wanna play you gota pay.

for a long time the "duck jibe' was the fastest thing on the water and we used to always sit on the kailua boat ramp and watch robbie do speed runs from flat island into the corner of the boat ramp and just carve it all the way around...VROOOOOOOOM!!....VERY COOL!

so naturally we ALL had to learn it and do that too...after a while we got pretty badass at it and it became the regular showoff run when it was nukin'....whole pack of 17 yearolds dive bombing that corner trying to spray people on the jetty...
 ;D ;D ;D

then one day he is running with us and whips out one of THESE...

what the HELL WAS THAT!?!?!?!?....now THAT was COOOL!!!!.......

with these tricks nowadays?!?!...i dont even know where to start!...MAN ...wish i was 20 again...

Wow.  I remember watching the Pryde videos from the late 80's and it was basically 3 guys blasting out over waves shot from a helicopter.  That was intense stuff back then.  I am not exactly sure when it happened but I am clearly old now.

That is a "Laydown" jibe. They are doing those with no hands on the boom now. We go to Bird Island Basin TX. in March. Winds from 20-45MPH. I stay ALL of March and part of April. No wetsuits needed then in the Laguna Madre. Wind dies I SUP or rig my Starboard Blend with an 8.5 M sail.

"WOW, what a ride!!!
