Final build pics. Sanded hot coat, clear coat, and polish.
Tomorrow will be the ride report.  ...hope she likes it.

So I got the ride report today.
She did great on the board. It took a little time to get used to the board. She actually had to balance this one unlike the dock that she was paddling before. Once she got used to it, she was yelling at her dad to keep up with her.
Watch out for her at the Carolina Cup in a few Years! ;D

Bulky

looks great.  Love to hear about your process for shaping the foam.  That's the most intimidating part for me right now.  Did you use a template program?  All hand-shaped?

Thanks BulkyBoarder. It's hand shaped for the most part. My foam supplier CNC hotwires the rocker in the blank, so the rocker is really close to start and the blank is square. I have some flip templates to draw the outline. After I cut the outline, I cut rail bands with the planer and clean it up with sandpaper.  A lot of the work is done with 36 grit and a sanding block.
Don't be intimidated, go for it! ... it's just foam.
