'4th of July' race a day early/Seattle
« on: July 01, 2012, 02:37:19 PM »
For all those in the Puget Sound area, come join us for the 1st Annual Liberty Paddle on Liberty Bay in Poulsbo, on July 3rd.

This race will be in conjunction with Poulsbo's 4th of July celebration including a fireworks display later on the evening of the 3rd.

There will be a 5 mile open race and a ~1 mile fun run/rec race.

This is the same location as the Vikingfest Race this last May. Instead of a 3 lap bouy race for the open race, we will do a 2.5 mile down and back format around the bay and all of the boats that will be anchored in the harbor for the fireworks display.

Those who attended the Vikingfest race know that Nick's trophies are alone worth the trip.

Poulsbo is a quick Bainbridge Island ferry ride and 15 minute drive. We realize that this a travel/work day for many people. There may be some flexibility in the start time for the race if we know that racers from the Seattle side of the water are on their way.

There will also be 'day of' registration available.

 See you there!!!!
