I live in the Muskoka district of Ontario, Canada. And I SUP.

Pretty unimaginative, but it works.

After the loud popping sound, my kneecap almost hit me in the nuts. Totally changed my life forever and I learned a lot about fortitude.

I once joined a fitness/training forum with the idea of losing a few pounds. So in a double play on words I combined posting on a forum with body fat (adipose tissue). I've been using it since.

I just went with the same name I use for my username and password for all my internet activity--financial accounts, credit cards, amazon, etc.  I'd been using another name for those until somehow I got my identify stolen--won't make that mistake again!

It's where I go to paddle multiple times a week.....where I played in the surf as a kid.....where my kids now play in the surf.  It's a place I love!

I had actually come up with "Rainwaves" for use as a potential skatepark name for around here about 9 years ago. This is a project that has been in the works for a long time, and I owned the domain name "rainwaves.org", but never really did much with it.

When signing up here, it dawned on me that the only time we get waves in the channel at home is when it is blowing, and usually accompanied by LOTS of rain. Kinda made sense at the time, and since I got into downwinding, it fits a bit better ( I think :)).

Made sense at the time, as I was(and still am) always in the water, and I spend a lot of time at the pointy end of the boats. Been using it for years now.  1227 is my birthday.

I live in Discovery Bay, California, on the Sacramento river Delta water ways.  Backyard consists of a deck with a ramp to our dock, where our ski boat resides along with 5 stand ups, a floating trampoline, and our new backyard toy a floating pool.  Picture a 35 x 24' dock with a hole cut out of the middle and a fiberglass pool dropped in.  We spend a lot of time in the water, splitting between the Delta and Santa Cruz.  If you're ever passing through the Central Valley of California, 20 miles west of Stockton, get in touch.  We have 100's of miles of waterways, and great flatwater paddling.  We are about 20 minutes from Rio Vista, with great windsurfing.  Crusing through the Disco Bay sloughs, you will see houses with more money tied to the dock than the house is worth.

I'm in sales and used to be in a business where the salespeople were referred to as "sharks".   I chose the handle on an industry forum and it seemed to work for aquatic activities as well.
