Where does you screen name come from?

After many days of trying to register using my "normal" online name (which has evolved into my family nickname as well) I gave up. Since the instructions were to use an obvious sup name and I was a bit ticked that I would have to remember a new name I went with the mandated name. I was actually a little surprised that it wasn't already taken by some other smart aleck.
