How are you staying on that board? I slip all over mine. Would wax help or totally hose it?

OK, not so bad now. It takes some getting used to (I did put wax on the deck and it helped). It also helped not to try and take such a new short board out for the first time on a head-high day as I did before. Verdict is still out for me but I am getting it wired and liking it more and more.

I love my Mctavish 9'0 - had it 18 months now and gets better and better. Initially I was taking it out in smaller waves , but its suprisingly stable & I can get away with pretty choppy conditions , so now take it out in pretty much anything. I've had no probs with the grip - the handle is another matter - how can they have got it so wrong! I just carry it on my shoulder now. No real negatives of it except that it only really works as a slashy Short Sup if you're over 70Kg since it has  a decent amount of volume.
