Seasick on a SUP?

Fatigue - If I didn't sleep well the night before, more likely I'll be prone to getting vertigo or sea sickness, especially in rolling swell. 

Cold Water - cold water can get in your ears and create vertigo.  Ear plugs or a semi tight neoprene hood can help.

But some are more likely to get it than others unfortantly. I'm one of them. Haven't paddled to our amazing Cape Flattery yet in WA State because rolling swell gets me every time. Draminine and Bronine can help but leave you super fatigued towards the end of their cycle.  I slept in a Victoria BC park in the middle of the day last year after taking Bronine for the ferry crossing from WA State.

I have strong sea legs growing up on the water but my wife is a land-lubber.  A few summers ago she made a 1500 mile 5 day journey through the deep Atlantic and southern Caribbean on a small sport fishing boat by wearing a small patch behind her ear.

I forget the name, transderm maybe? The patch lasted for over 2 days before she had to switch and did make her sleepy but I was so impressed that she didn't feel any motion sickness, as we had 4-6ft rollers for 6 to 8 hours per day, although we were going with the swells (boat downwinding  )
