Has any one tried a Tiger Shaka (Angulo)?
« on: March 15, 2012, 08:29:00 PM »
I was wondering if anyone has tried a Tiger Shaka, and where that fits in to the spectrum?  Is it a pure flatwater race board, or does it have some open ocean or downwind capability as well?

I never got to try the one he made last year so you post caught my interest. Went to the Angulo website and I can't believe how light his boards are! Crazy light, 21 lbs for a 14' race board! I may have to give Andrew a call to see if he has one to try.
Slingshot has a new 14 at 26lbs using hollow core construction and I thought it's weight was pretty good when compared to Naish Glide that's in the 32lbs range.

I like that these boards are being talked about...  I have a couple that can be ridden in Santa Cruz and I will be attending the Paddle Me race this upcoming weekend in Marina Del Rey.

If anyone wants info feel free to contact me directly and I have a number of people in other areas that own these boards and would be open to letting you paddle one too.

Thursday I'll bein Vegas and Fri- Sat I'll be in So Cal.  Contact me directly with any questions about the tigers or any of the other Angulo boards.

Mr Wade,
Can the Tiger be used for open ocean racing or is it purely for flat water?  Any other info you can share would be greatly appreciatedas well. Very interested in these boards.  Thanks
