Last I heard the heats were filled and they weren't accepting any more entries..... I think I heard that from Kurt.

Kurt, I'll try to make it up one day this weekend.  Depends on how my back feels - it's still a bit tender, so might just take it easy.  Have fun, and let's get together next week sometime for a paddle in the morning.

ALoha~

while you are at the LB Contest this weekend,  LegendsSurf.com has a whole new line of Angulo boards to Demo.  I went up with Gary and tried out the 10'4, 10'8 and the 11'6.

Jeff's assistant (sorry name) rocked on the 10'4.  He was 215.   I tried out the 10'4 at 260 and not enough board but it was working at 215.  Gary liked it but preferred the 10'8.

I started off the 11'6 and again at 260 and this thing is stable as a rock.  Paddled really well.  After having a Laird and a starboard 12'6, this thing spun like a dream.  Surfing wise, it was a really crowded line up on the Northside of the OS pier and I did want to take out any groms.  Paddled great into waves and this is a sure winner for the new SUP.  If i didn't already have the Laird and the Starboard, i would have bought the 11'6 starting out for pure surfing.  (Still prefer the starboard for distance/glide)

I was really happy then blow away when I hoped on the 10'8.  I was expecting to be paddling with water around my ankles.  Hell no, the 10'8 was as stable as the 11'6, enough board and turned on a dime.  Gary was fired up  (165 pounds) and ordered the 10'8.

Seems to me the different is that Argulo on at least the 11'6 and 10'8 have gone for a very stable paddle platform pushing the width further forward and towards the tail.

Jeff it would great to get some pictures since their are no pictures of the boards on http://www.angulosurf.com/index.html
