Anyone been watching the 2015 ISA World Stand Up Paddle and Paddleboard Championships? Webcast has been impressive, compared to other events. They even have decent replays. Interesting that Barrett organized this event - has he done the previous ISA events in years past? I think if the BOP had this kind of webcast, they could have generated additional revenue from advertising online.

Team USA looking pretty strong. Dave Boehne, Sean Poynter and Izzi Gomez all making it through to the surf finals and then Candice destroying the 20K distance race today, 2 min faster than Lina. Women's paddleboard finish was nuts too, one girl forgot that she had to go around the last buoy, then turned and passed it on the wrong side, then went back to go around it the correct way. By this time, the girl in third passed her but then missed a wave coming in to the beach and the girl who missed the buoy reclaimed second. Wild.

Been watching what I can... I'm not getting up at 2am though.

Stoked with the NZ team so far. DK through to the 3rd round in the surfing and 2 5th places in the womens distance races.

Penelope is gutted with the finish she thought she could have got 3rd, sounds like the final shore break turned the finish into a lottery.

Hopefully some of you caught the men's race today. It was truly an amazing race to watch. Absolutely insane performance from Danny. Awful start, was mid-pack, fell 3 times throughout the race, and then closed a 100+ yard gap on Bicho, the leader, with about 10 minutes or less to go and took the win. He really is an animal. Incredible performance from Bicho too, who looked like he was going to run away with it, with about 20 min to go. Also, big 4th place finish for Zane just behind Connor. Really incredible. Can't wait for the replay to be up later.
