Who you tipping?

Australia, USA and France (Men's) and Australia and USA (women's) will be tough to beat.

Though I reckon there'll be a couple of dark horses in there somewhere as well... go the minnows!

South Africa's currently ranked 2nd overall (after the men's & women's Prone Short Course races).

Looking forward to seeing the Bertish Bros. in action during the SUP races. Seems they go pretty hard whenever they're on the water...

You'll notice no Hawaii team. I was talking with a friend today who told me that the Hawaii ISA rep, after 4 months of prodding, told them he didn't have time to take care of the entry. WTF. I need to dig into this one.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

Yeah it's a big shame the Hawaiians couldn't make it. They were a last-minute cancellation - seems nobody knew they weren't coming until a day or two before the opening ceremony.

Unbelievable, should be banished to a small Island in the Pacific

New Zealand will also be a super strong medal chance in the men's race today, thanks to their adopted-aussie Paul Jackson (top 15 in both Battles of the Paddle last year).

From what I understand they were all planning to go and pay their own way. Sounds like the ISA rep doesn't like SUP and just wouldn't do the required entry. At the last minute he told the contestants he was too busy with some Billabong thing and wouldn't do it.

Spewin, they're missing a good time over there.

Not to mention Connor/Kai/Slater/Zane/etc would've been a super strong team.

And if that's how it happened, the ISA need a new Hawaii rep asap...

Nah, they need someone neutral, not someone that would have the shortboarders wear tutus

In South Africa it was quite simple we formed a SUP body under Surfing South Africa (The SA body under ISA) . Body boarders, wave skis and longboarders have done the same.
Go Brigette, Chris and Greg bring back some metal.
