Smart Phone Flashlight apps

The power just went off in my neighborhood.  I have a 2 story on one side and a zero lot line on the other side.  It was black in the kitchen, where I was.  I knew I had battery style lanterns in the garage.  But, I couldn't even see the kitchen counters.  So, I used the flashlight app to get to the lanterns.
If you haven't already downloaded a flashlight app, I highly recommend you do.

When I decided to learn how to write apps that's as far as I got. I should dust it off and call it Ke Nalu flashlight or sumpin'

I used to use a flashlight app on my iPhone but finally quit when I found that I could get nearly the same light by double clicking to bring up my phone list menu that has very little text and a white back ground. I have occasionally used the flashlight app but only rarely since it takes longer to launch (slow old iPhone)

On the 4's you can activate the LED "flash" on the back. It'll actually light up a room. Super handy.

Yup, my $400 flashlight. I used to use the camera to access the led (switch to video, turn on led) but I downloaded one of a zillion apps that do it quicker.

My droid already had one installed. 3 brightness settings and an SOS flash

 Yep; I have one on my Droid Sammy Infuse that will light up a room or crash an airplane flying below 5k feet... It's freaky bright!       Paddle on,                   JD
