Arlines and SUP

Just wondering what the general experience has been traveling w/ SUP boards.  Iknow w/ my 10' longboard, for the most part nobody cared that it was longer / heavier than most boards - they just charged me the extra charge and sent me on my way.  Has this been what you have found w/ SUP also - or do they scrutinize a little more based on the much bigger size??  Thanks

It's easy with a Uli - blow up 11' or 10' Stand up - took one to Mauritius this year and it's going to CR with me loads of fun -  check it out here www.csx355.blogspot.com or here for the manufacturers' site www.uliboards.com . I used to travel with longboards but the airlines are raping you for board carriage these days. The ULI goes in a suitcase!! No charges.

Good question! I'd love to know anybody's experiences too. I'm heading down to mainland Mex with a 10'er this August on Alaska Airlines- if asked I will say it's 9'- tell you one thing, I'm not going with out it!

I'll take notes of my experiences and will be making a short vid too- I'll let you know!
