Do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of Robb Wolf's 'The Paleo Solution'. He's an understudy of Cordain, who is sort of the Godfather so to speak of pale nutrition and literature. You can get Cordain's books as well, but think of all the books out there on Paleo nutrition Wolf's is the best. Cordain's first book is an easy read in layman's terms and was originally supposed to be more science based, but apparently the editors put the kibosh on that and dumbed it down quite a bit to make it more palatable for the masses. Mark Sisson's book is alright, and have nothing against the guy and enjoy his site, but his book is more just common knowledge, and as he states in the introduction, is not backed by any science as he is not scientist. Robb Wolf's book is a great combination of advice, just enough science for the layman and tongue in cheek humor to make you want to keep reading, which is not easy to do with a book on nutrition.

I've been following Robb Wolf since 2002 when he was posting on the CrossFit forums at that time, when the community was very small. He is an amazing guy and great resource.
