hi friends, i rode  my brandnew 14" nsp touringboard two days now and this  is what i found out.
i paddled it on my favourite spot, a really flat lake.
1.: it is pretty light. i can handle, carry lift that thing without any problem.
2.: it is  pretty fast. i did all my touring on a 11,6 naish so far, but that is a completely different  animal. the  naish feels more like a hoovercraft compared. you push way much more water around, while you cut through it with the nsp.
3.: it is good fun! i was a bit sceptical, because i am not aracerguy or fitnessgeek. i really like to walk around on the board and pretend to do paddle hang-fives. all that is more fun, because you can go faster, it glides longer and when you are way  out in front, the nose dives in  and it looks like a dolphin at you feet.
5.: it goes nice through headwind. very important for me, because  i wait for the storms and waves and downwinders.
all in all: i could not be happier, specially because of the good price: 750 euros in the local shop!
some pictures follow. eddie

Glad you like the big NSP.. I also liked paddling it.

When having both boards on your car I think you would be better off having the big NSP on first and then your Naish with a couple of foam blocks inbetween them.

Hello,
Since its been a year from your post, what's your second imperssion on the board? still love it? I'm very interested in buying one, since the price is like you said 760€ in Munich (munichstanduppaddling.com).
Last sunday I had my first race near Vienna at Austrian open on 8km race. It was interesting experience and thingking to race in Sep at Starnberg see or October at Chiemsee.
Cheers from Slovenia, MArko

I had a chance to ride that board a couple of times and it is not a bad board.  It is stable enough for me and I am not the most graceful at 6'4" 200+lbs.  It kept me afloat and had plenty of vol for me to take some gear or the pup with me if I want.  The price is good and construction is as well.  One of the better priced boards coming out of the Cobra factory if I am not mistaken.  The only trade off was that it was a bit heavy compared to other boards of its size.  But for the overall value it is a good choice if you ask me.

I have the lighter Coco version and am very satisfied with it. Great value for the money.

Doing my first race (6miler) on Sunday....I'm pretty sure my nsp14 will up to the task- question is if the engine will be ready???

Spent many years racing kayaks, then surfskis...did the Mayors Cup and all the regional NorthEast races..but,  I am really anxouis and excited to start this new chapter of SUP racing....I am digging the simplicity of sup...paddle?check, board?check, leash?check..... Go paddle!!!

Like to hear what you think of the board in the race. I've been looking at a used one at a good price, thinking about it mostly for the durability of it like to use it off my boat for some down wind stuff and loading off loading on the boat is tuf on boards. I paddled it in the calm water felt good but I've been holding off to try it in some down wind stuff. Then the other side of me wants a fast/light race board for the 4-6 races I do? Silly stuff,

Good luck in your race, I'm also doing a 6 mile race today at 1 pm hoping the wind kicks in to make it a downwinder.

I still like it. True, it is a bit heavy. It stays in a noathoise close to the lake si dont carry it a lot. Good board so far.
