Can any one give a ride review of the hobie 14' bamboo ???
the construction sounds really great, but how fast is it?

I've raced it in a time trial, and I thought it was a great board. It felt fast and stable. It's really light too. I did a pivot turn during the race and was suprised at how stable is was doing a pivot. Probably because the tail is a little wider. There is definitely a sweet spot just a little forward of center. I'm considering getting one myself. Mark Johnson of Hobie was there and said the bamboo is very structural and runs the length of both top and bottom. He said bamboo has a direction strength that you don't get from carbon or glass.
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

How's that review coming along?
Regarding the 12'6'' Hobie,  are you using the Elite or the narrower Elite Race.
Thanks for any feedback. Cheers
Ps I've got the 12'6'' Elite Race, nice board, I like it.....
