Yes, congrats to Trevor.  Just as Danny predicted, it came down to the 2 of them.

Great efforts from Connor and Slater as well. Scary to think how good  those guys will be in a couple of years.

I missed the race online but I think I read somewhere that Danny was faster paddling into the waves while Trevor was faster paddling into shore. If that's true, then it may say something about the relative strengths of their boards. Danny on 404 and Trevor on C4.

That race was close the whole way with Trevor and Danny swapping positions a few times.  At one point Trevor was able to grab a nice wave ride and secure a sizable lead for the win.  At that level of athlete its the whole package: training, gear and good fortune and knowing how to use it.
