« on: April 10, 2011, 09:57:39 PM »
hi all.just wondering is there anything volume wise that can match the 8.10widepoint by starboard.at 105kg but wanting to go sub 9 there is next to no choice.im currently on the 10.5widepoint and loving the board, but as you get better the smaller sup comes into play as the second board.ta

well if nothing else it might inspire you to lose some weight. I being able to surf smaller boardsa ans use smaller kites was one of my biggest incentives to lose weight. It helps. Now I have a 7'8'' hokua that 'forces' me to keep it off... :-)

8'6" South County Black Dragon also, but it sounds to me like you're looking for a high performance template. Why not the 8'10" widepoint. I've had my eye on that one too.

Maybe the Joe Blair 8'11" or Coreban Fusion?

I'm 95kg but pushing 100kg with wetsuit & booties and I'm on a Solid Surfco Mariner that's 8'6"x29"x4.25".  My feet get wet but it floats me (plus I fall a lot but I'm still trying to get used to a much smaller board - I transitioned from a 10'1" Joe Blair)...

Zackly!
People are blown away by the 8'10" WP's float, stability, paddleability, and surfability...trifin or quad...
151 liters will definitely do the trick...
